Anonymous asked: I know shrooms can grow in the wild and you should never ever eat random shrooms.. What I'm trying to say is.. I live in Jersey and its been raining quite a bit here.. Do you think any shrooms can/are growing inside of the woods we have here? There's a few shrooms growing by m house but idk if they are magic mushrooms or deadly shrooms..
Hello there! Since you are in Jersey, here is a list of shrooms that grow in your state. You can research more about each individual shroom on your own, and find out which species populates closest to your home:
- Gymnopilus sp.
- Panaeolus cinctulus
- Psilocybe caerulipes
- Psilocybe graveolens
- Psilocybe naematoliformis
- Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata
Now I personally have not had experience with any of these mushrooms (I only know Psilocybe cubensis) and so please do as much research as you can.
The key thing is to google image search those mushrooms I listed above, and to study study study their look. Next, you can check out this list of resources to help you with your first magic mushroom hunt.
Unfortunately I have to make this short because I’m packing my bags :) So hopefully this helped; if you have any more questions, be sure to send in another message and I’ll publish it straight to fuckyeahpsilocybin for other followers to answer!
And yes, never eat shrooms without being 200% sure of their ID. The link I mentioned also shows you different ways of ID-ing psilocybe especially (spores, blue stain, type of cap, stem, etc.). Good luck on your hunt :)
